The Devils Eye Lord Acan (Acanthastrea lordhowensis) is a beautiful dark red (almost black) variation of the famous Lord Acan. With both red and dark black coloration along the septa of the corallite, this large polyp stony with strong growth and beautiful patterns will surely please any reef aquarist.
Acanthastrea are found in shallow water however normally in silty locations where light is not as brilliant as well as permeating as a result of the sediment in the water. They normally have a larger corallite structure ranging approx 10mm in diameter with tiny lobes surrounding the septa.
